Blue Jays’ Jansen placed on 10-day IL with left groin strain

The have placed catcher on 10-day injured reserved with a left groin strain, retroactive to May 25.




Jansen has hit for a .207 average so far this season with six home runs and 26 RBI.

Catcher was recalled from triple-A Buffalo and will be active for Toronto’s series opener against the Minnesota Twins.
